Belgium

The Belgian Point of Inaccessibility lies in Walloon Brabant, in the countryside around Grez-Doiceau and Beauvechain, roughly 25 km east-southeast of central Brussels and about 15 km south of Leuven. More specifically, the point lies very close to the Nethen valley, an area spanning the communes of Beauvechain and Grez-Doiceau.

Getting to the Belgian Pole
We visited the Belgian Point of Inaccessibility on my 2,700km drive from Yorkshire to Croatia after an overnight stay in Brussels and before venturing on to the Luxembourg POI.
The point itself is in very rural, green countryside, quite different from what you might imagine given its relative proximity to Brussels and Leuven. The landscape here consists of gently rolling agricultural fields broken up by woodland, hedgerows, small streams and scattered houses and farms.
Getting close to the point wasn’t difficult in my all-electric Rimac Nevera taking the E40 towards Leuven and then N25 south towards Wavre. The last two or three kilometres, after leaving the major routes were quite tight for such a wide vehicle and more than once we had to squeeze right over to the side for an oncoming vehicle.

The actual coordinates lie in a field right next to one of these small roads. Fortunately, there was a spot to pull over opposite a small junction so passing vehicles could pass as we sought the exact spot

Seeking out these points of inaccessibility, I must admit I’ve had to trespass once or twice when I’ve been unable to find the land owner. But one thing I won’t do is cause any damage in doing so. Venturing onto a freshly cut field is a bit different from trampling a farmer’s crops.

lies 61 metres into this field.
Unfortunately, the Point of Inaccessibility for Belgium fell into the latter category. At the time of visiting the farmers crops were just taking hold and I didn’t want to damage them. So I thought the parked car, 86m from the POI, was as close as we’d get. But then I spotted a track to the left of the rectangular field. So we went ‘exploring’.
Sure enough, the track led us to the opposite side of the field and got us marginally closer to the exact coordinates. In the end, we were able to get to a point just 61m from the POI.
